Op. Dr. Ayşe Dolar Bilge received her medical degree from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa) between 1998 and 2004. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Istanbul Göztepe Training and Research Hospital from 2004 to 2009. Seeking advanced subspecialty training, she undertook an observership in Oculoplastic Surgery at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London in 2009. She further solidified her expertise with a fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 2013.
Dr. Bilge holds the prestigious European Board of Ophthalmology Diploma (FEBO), attesting to her qualifications meeting rigorous European standards. She is an active member of the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ESOPRS) and the Turkish Ophthalmology Society's Oculoplastic Surgery Unit. Her primary area of specialization is clearly defined as oculoplastic surgery, encompassing the eyelids, eyebrows, cheeks, forehead, and the lacrimal (tear duct) system. While oculoplastics is her main focus, her expertise also extends to cataract surgery, strabismus and pediatric ophthalmology, and managing ocular surface diseases. Dr. Bilge operates her own private practice and clinic, while also performing procedures at various hospitals in Turkey.
