Dr. Erman Ak began his academic education in Mersin and graduated from Mersin Science High School before entering Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, where he completed his medical degree in 2014. He later completed his residency in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. During residency, he worked in multiple reconstructive surgical fields including congenital hand anomalies, nerve transfer procedures, and microsurgical reconstruction, as well as cleft lip and palate surgery and maxillofacial procedures. In 2018, he expanded his microsurgical experience through collaboration with neurologist Ahmet Hoke and attended a training program at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fu-Chan Wei. In 2022, he completed a three-month ISAPS fellowship at Villa Bella Clinic in Italy with Prof. Dr. Giovanni Botti and Chiara Botti, focusing on facial and breast aesthetic surgery. Dr. Ak also holds the European Board of Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS) certification.
