Prof. Dr. Murat Songu was born in 1976 in İzmir and completed his secondary education at İzmir Atatürk High School. In 1994, he began his medical education at Ege University Faculty of Medicine and later completed his specialization in Otolaryngology at Celal Bayar University. In 2005 and 2006, he participated in clinical and academic programs in Bordeaux, France, where he worked at institutions including St. Augustin Clinic, Institut Georges Portmann, and Bordeaux University. During this period, he gained experience in rhinology, otologic surgery, skull base surgery, cochlear implantation, and cerebellopontine angle tumor surgery. In 2008, he began working at İzmir Dr. Behçet Uz Children’s Diseases and Surgery Training and Research Hospital and İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital. His academic work includes more than one hundred national and international publications, abstracts, and book chapters, which have received a significant number of citations in scientific literature.
